Mariah Carey: His unexpected and touching tribute to Johnny Hallyday!
The American diva surprised her audience by having a few words for the late singer.
Saturday,
December 9, the whole of France vibrated in unison at the funeral of Johnny
Hallyday. While a popular tribute was paid to him on the Champs-Élysées and at
the church of the Madeleine, the evening it is to the AccorHotels Arena that
another tribute was addressed to him by ... Mariah Carey!
The American
star, landed in Paris on December 6, gave a unique representation in the
capital and, obviously aware of the death of Johnny Hallyday, she paid tribute
to him. On stage, we saw a portrait of the rocker and the American singer then
began, in French, a few seconds of the title I love you, taken by the crowd.
"We just wanted to say thank you to Johnny Hallyday, and I just want to
say that good musicians never die," said the diva.
Mariah Carey took
advantage of her stay in Paris to multiply the outings. The star, who lives at
the chic Hotel Plaza Athenee, in the 8th district of Paris, was seen with his
companion Bryan Tanaka and his Moroccan son (his daughter Monroe had obviously
stayed at the hotel) as a shopping outing at Hermès and at the Disney store.
The clan also enjoyed a nice dinner at the Royal Monceau Hotel.
